World Elder Abuse Awareness Day was established in 2006, and is held on June 15th each year. The day is an opportunity to raise awareness of elder abuse and neglect of older adults by sharing information about the facts of elder abuse, the rights of older persons and to promote resources and services to support seniors’ safety and well-being.
